So I may have started this a little late, but better late than never, right? My doctors have been telling me for years to lose weight, and whenever I start to it seems something happens to hinder that. This time, I was doing the keto diet and actually losing weight, when I suddenly became pregnant. Again. Go figure right? Well for the first 5 months of my pregnancy I was so sick I lost weight anyway, and was dealing with a cardiologist trying to figure out what was up with my heart. Now that we know what that is I am back on the bandwagon for losing weight!
Before anyone asks, I am 28, almost 29 weeks along with baby number four, a girl, and yes I have spoken with my doctor about losing more weight. He is all for it, so long as I am not making drastic dietary changes or starving myself.
To begin, I bought a fitbit versa. I can't exercise much, so I stick to walking, swimming and water aerobics. This child wont let me have much in the way of sugar so I am actually very careful what I eat. I cant have anything to drink but the occasional root beer, apple juice and icy water, so I mostly stick to water. I like icy water and I have a fancy water bottle (its just a flip top i think is fancy because i don't have to unscrew it) that I take with me EVERYWHERE. I feel like I am doing fairly well, even with all my medical issues going on.
I fully enjoy water aerobics, and swimming is amazing because I feel weightless and don't have to haul my fatness around. Thankfully I have a wonderful family pushing me and supporting me. I have three wonderful women going with me to water aerobics and one wonderful woman watching my babies so I am able to go.
I'm not able to walk much mostly because of the heat. And when I do go for walks I have a rolling walker I take with me in case my heart starts freaking out and I need to sit down. My step count isn't all that impressive most of the time, but I try. I have a low goal and even then sometimes I cant get it but I do try. So today I will start off with some stats, not many because some of them I won't be measuring until after baby comes, but some none the less. So- HERE GOES!
Weight: 276 lbs.
Weight Goal: 170 lbs.
Daily Step Goal: 5,000
Daily Water Goal: 120 oz.
Preggo Week: 28
Sounds like you're off to a great start!!
